Modest comeback for Yahoo! and Live Search

This barometer is published every month in order to track the principal trends in search engine visit share. Here is our report for February 2008. |

AOL held firm after its January breakout; Yahoo! and Live Search posted slight gains. |
AOL, with 1.55% of search engine visits for February 2008, continues to hold the number 4 position that it grabbed last month. Live Search, after sliding for several months, showed a turnaround compared to January, adding +0.05 points. Yahoo! posted an even bigger turnaround of +0.15 points compared to January. This has placed Yahoo! once again over the 3% bar for visit share.
The visit share for Google dipped below the 90% mark: 89.97% in February 2008, or a loss of 0.06 points from January, following a 0.8 points loss last month. Meanwhile, Orange and Free also continued their decline.
Among the other search engines composing February's top 15, Ask is conspicuous with a 22% drop.
